This 17' long diorama depicts a scene from the wetlands of western Indiana. Not only is it composed of several plant and animal models, it's also made interactive through a series of discoverable drawers, a muskrat hut cross section, and a water control structure replica.

Each drawer features a unique experience. The largest holds tactile pelts and teeth to help visitors learn the distinction between muskrats and beavers. One drawer contains several touchable models of different bird beaks while another holds samples of macroinvertebrate specimen. The final drawer offers a scavenger hunt. It gives clues to the visitor who must then look within the diorama itself to find the correct eggs laid by a particular animal.
