This set design was inspired by the twisting voyage we all follow as we grow up from children to adults. A spiral motif found in the floor texture, the set structure, and the chandelier visually encompass the path that brings us through all of the joys and heartaches of life.

As a story spanning many decades, this in-the-round set had to easily change from location to location. This was done through a focus on props scattered around the platforms and stored within trunks that became part of the design.

The chandelier above served as a both a starry night sky and 'cyclorama' to help define the time and location. The platforms that make up the rising steps of the main scenic structure are inspired by wooden pallets insinuating that this was a found space come to life through the imagination of the story-tellers.
