A showcase of 1960's classics performed by members of the Kalamazoo Civic's senior company. Because this is a decade that underwent several drastically different trends in music, fashion, art, thought, etc, I tried to think primitively of iconic shapes and colors that define the decade in its entirety.The idea for this design was taken from the sets of music variety shows of the period (such as Dick Clark and Sonny and Cher) where the sets were geometric, modern, and simple.The mural painted on the flats is a visual timeline of sorts including such things as Twiggy's face, am anti-war slogan, and a VW bus.
